Dana Trixie Flynn: Master Teacher
Dana Trixie Flynn is an internationally celebrated yoga figure, social activist, and the creator of Lotus Flow, a soul-powered yogic movement system that “frees you to move like YOU.” She is a 'teacher's teacher,' celebrated for her raw and generous spirit and her uplifting, innovative, and soulful Lotus Flow style of Yoga. This year marks her 25th year of teaching and her favorite thing about yoga is the YOGIS.
Dana is the founder of Laughing Lotus Yoga Centers in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and San Francisco, with plans for even more Lotus Love in Los Angeles. In February 2017, she opened a a non profit Community Center in New Orleans, called the Church of Yoga because it is housed in a funky old church in the birthplace of Jazz.
Dana has been featured in The New York Times, Boston Globe, SELF, Forbes, and was named one of Yoga Journal’s “Top Ten Influential Teachers Who Have Shaped Yoga in America.” Her devotion to activism and creating change has led to her partnerships with organizations like Africa Yoga Project, Off the Mat, and the Lineage Project. She also loves dancing with total abandon, chanting hari krishna, arugula, poets, tulips, her toes forever in the ocean, biking, and of course, Glitter.
